Gateway 3DS card hit the market in the next 14 days

Gateway 3DS flashcard, according to its official website, will be on the market within the next fortnight. This is a rather good news, however, far from being a great news for Nintendo 3DS lovers. 

Why? For the reason that the Gateway 3DS flashcard can not even support 3DS V6.0, let alone the latest 3DS V6.1.0-x, which can be supported fully well by the R4i gold 3DS and Supercard DStwo, as well as other 3DS cards.

Gateway officially declared that the Gateway 3DS flashcard is very much confined within the console firmware version. And the gateway flashcard that will be put on the market only can support console firmware version V4.5, and Version V6.0 is in the processing. 3DS v6.1? Let's be patient.

Gateway flashcard includes two cards: a red and a blue one. The red Gateway card will handle 3ds backups, while the blue 3ds cart will be used to prepare the console.

Supercard DStwo: a truly battery drain?

The 3DS is a new one and I just bought it last month, however, when  I played with the Supercard Dstwo card, the battery went from 4 bars to 2 in about 1 hr and 45 mins of a gameplay.

Brightness I set is 3 and surely it's not too high, however, it does seem kind of short. Is the dstwo really that bad at battery drain?

The reason is that the Supercard Dstwo has a SoC (System On a Chip), and It has its own CPU, RAM, etc. That's one reason why it drains the battery so quickly.

Another problem with the DSTwo is that when you enter sleepmode on the 3DS.  It seems that DSTwo can't tell when the 3DS enter sleepmode and keeps working like if the 3DS where in use, so when I use my DSTwo on my 3DS, I have a Nyko powerpack+ installed and the battery last more than that, I always use the brightness at level 1 with energy save off and wifi always on.

One day a friend telephoned me and informed that "his  3DS is in grave trouble". I told him calm down and bring the spoil thing to me for sure. He immediately said: I will come right now. 3 minutes later, here he came.

I saw that he obtained an r4i 3ds card 4.4 and the kernel has been updated to  v1.71 , in accordance with is a 3ds console with software 4.5.0.

I inserted  3ds card into the 3ds machine and the information "error has occurred press and hold power button" come out before my eyes. When returning to the home screen, I found that "Metroid Prime Hunters Demo" is showing at the beginning.

Download and run the update file for your 3DS 4.5.x, normally a generally a .NDS file.

This is the only way that the problem could be solved. 

However, My friend's 3DS still refuse to work. 

I told him that the only thing he could do is to order a new card from www.digimartz.com. The R4i RTS can support the latest 3DS V6.1.0-x. The price is quite reasonable, Why not?
